Dolores A. Menke

Dolores A. Menke, 77, Rockford died at 2:50 a.m. Sunday, July 6,  2008 in her home.  Born November 13, 1930 in Rockford, daughter of Sisto and Angelina (Valenti) Segneri.  Married Peter Menke, Sr. on February 6, 1952 in Ft. Benning Georgia.  Member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.  Dolores was a loving, devoted wife, mother and grandmother.  She loved to cook and bake and her Italian cookies were favorites to many.    Survivors include her children, Linda (Howard) Forrester, Debra (Harry) Studenmend, Peter, Jr., Paul and Mark Menke, Brenda (Gene) Delehanty and John (Allison) Menke.  Also survived by her grandchildren, Michael (Jinny) Forrester, Theresa Forrester, Lindsey, Sierra and David Delehanty; brother, Leonard (Mary) Segneri, Rockford and many nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by her parents, husband, Peter, Sr.; brothers, James, Emil and Joseph Segneri and her sister, Antoinette Russo.  Special thanks to her very special, loving caregiver, Flory Lucas.   Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 in St. Bernadette Catholic Church with Rev. Richard Russo officiating.  Burial in Owen Center Cemetery.  Visitation in the church on Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.  Condolences may be sent at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
