Diane C. Didier

Diane Claire Didier, 84, of Rockford, passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2022.

Diane was born in Rockford on July 4, 1938, daughter of Lucien J. and Lydia (Riendeau) Sicotte. She graduated from Bishop Muldoon High School, Class of 1956. Diane married Lawrence F. “Larry” Didier on August 25, 1962. She worked as the bookkeeper for Didier Greenhouse for over 35 years. Diane was a longtime member of St. Bridget Catholic Church where she was involved in a Bible Study Group. She was also a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League. Diane was also a member of a knitting group called the “Knit Wits” for over 50 wonderful years. Diane enjoyed knitting and reading. She loved playing cards and various games, especially with her grandchildren. Most of all, she cherished her time spent with dear family and friends. Diane will be greatly missed.

Surviving relatives include her son, Paul Didier; grandchildren, Asher, Isabella, Juliana and Erin; sister, Jeannine (Stephen) King; sisters-in-law, Marlyn Sicotte and Jean Sicotte; brother-in-law, William “Bill” Didier; sister-in-law, Joan Didier and numerous nieces and nephews. Diane is predeceased by her parents; her husband, Larry; daughter, Karen (Didier) Tomasino; two infant sons, Lawrence and Andrew; brothers, Albert, Paul, George and Lucien (Lon). Diane would like to thank all the above who helped her after the death of Larry and Karen. Your support has meant everything to her.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 15, 2022 from 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 16, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. with visitation from 9:30 a.m. until time of Mass at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Avenue, Loves Park, IL  61111. Burial will conclude in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 8616 West State Road, Winnebago, IL 61088.
