Dequian D. Davis

Dequian Demonta Davis graced the world with his presence on June 15, 2004. He was the second son born to Roderick L. Davis and Yalanda Davis. He was born at John H. Stroger Hospital in Chicago, IL. He attended Harlem High School in Rockford, IL and was a current employee at Sam’s Club. 

Dequian’s positive attitude and likable personality both helped make him as popular at school as he was in the community.

Dequian loved playing basketball and video games; especially with his siblings. Although he was quiet, he had a way of making those around him feel loved. Everyone who met Dequian fell in love with him because of his joyous attitude and calm demeanor. He had lots of friends who loved him like family and he made sure to let them know the feeling was mutual.

He was charming and charismatic with a smile that would make anyone’s heart melt. Dequian will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to be around.

Dequian was preceded in death by his Father (Roderick L. Davis), Grandmother (Gaile Arnold), and Aunt (Aisha Arnold). Dequian is survived by his Mother (Yalanda Davis), Grandfather (Joseph Arnold), Grandmother (Josephine Davis), Brothers (Deandre D. Davis and Deangelo D. Davis), along with a host of Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

Visitation will be Friday, July 7, 2023 from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 3:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Repast will follow the services at 5:00 p.m. at Hoffman House, 7550 East State Street, Rockford, IL 61108.
