Dennis R. Bennink

Dennis Richard Bennink, 47, of Rockford, was called home to meet his Savior on Saturday, November 28, 2015. He was born in Jamestown, New York; on January 11, 1968. He married his loving wife Renee (Utley) Bennink on April 6, 2013 in Woodstock, IL. Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Navy on the U.S.S. Saipan Warship. Dennis was a man of Faith, and of family; and he will always be remembered for his sense of humor, strong will, and his unconditional love for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Renee Bennink; children, Joshua Popp, Shana Curry, Jennifer (Bubba) Shaw, Dennis R. Bennink, Jr., David (Alexia) Sparks, Tiffany Sparks, Michael Sparks, and Timothy Sparks; his mother, Mary Brockway; uncles, Paul (Mary) Rowland and George (Katheryn) Rowland; brother, Randy Bennink; former spouse, Lisa Bennink; and 12 grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his father, Edward Bennink.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 3, 2015; at Rockford First, 5950 Spring Creek Rd., Rockford, IL, 61114, with Pastor Bob Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM until time of service at Church on Thursday. Burial and full military honors will be 11:30 AM, Monday, December 7, 2015; at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
