Dennis Jay Weber

Dennis Jay Weber, 66, of Poplar Grove, died Friday, June 9, 2017 in his home with his family at his side. Born February 5, 1951 in Freeport, the son of Richard and Wilma (Atherton) Weber. Graduated from Shannon High School and enlisted into the US Army serving in Vietnam. Married his loving wife, Janice Harden in Sterling on Aug. 22, 1975 at First Congregational Church and together had 2 sons. He worked for VR2 as a trim carpenter retiring in 2007. Dennis was an avid billiard player and enjoyed playing with his friends in many tournaments. He was also a fan of golf, whether it be playing or watching it on TV and was a friend of Bill W. Dennis was a fun loving family man who enjoyed a good laugh and great times with friends and family, he will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Janice; sons, Eric Weber and Christopher (Kristina) Weber; granddaughters, Kaylee and Brianna; parents, Richard and Wilma Weber; sister, Robyn Setterstrom (Tom) and sister-in-law, Sandra Weber. Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kaitlyn; daughter-in-law, Cammi and brother, Jerry Weber.
Funeral service Friday, June 16, 2017 at Noon at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with visitation from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. with Pastor Chris Druce-Jones officiating.
