Dennis James Hogan

Dennis James Hogan, 55, of Rockford, died at 4:30 PM, Monday, August 27, 2007 in Rockford Memorial Hospital. Born April 12, 1952 in Rockford, the son of Byron and Hilda (Wallschlaeger) Hogan. Attended St. Patrick Grade School, a 1970 graduate of Boylan High School where he was a member of the Key Club, and attended U of I in Champaign. Employed as an electrician and communications with many local contractors. Member of IEBW Local No.51. Also member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he was a cantor, volunteered at the ""St. Patrick Booth"" on the Waterfront and also for the corn beef and cabbage dinners. Dennis is survived by his daughter, Tessie Hogan and son, Byron Hogan both of Byron, IL; mother, Hilda of Rockford; brother, Daniel (Melanie) Hogan of Roscoe; sisters, Margaret Schobinger of Loves Park and Cathe (Brian) Glenn of Winnebago; many nieces and nephews and cousins; godmother, Kay Robinson; his 4 legged companion, Chelsea; and mother to his children, Theresa Hogan of Byron. Predeceased by his father, Byron James Hogan and sister, Barbara Ann Hogan. Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Friday, August 31, 2007, in St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father Brian Geary officiating. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation on Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, in Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. To
