Dennis J. Carroll

Dennis J. Carroll, 72, of Rockford, passed away at St. Anne’s Care Center on Sunday, November 5, 2017. The son of Elmer & Eva (Theis) Carroll, born June 1, 1945 in Elmoville, IL. Graduated from Stockton High School, class of 1963. He earned his B.A. from Loras and his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Illinois. He married the love of his life, Margie Mahan on January 18, 1975. Worked for Barber-Colman for 43 years, retiring in 2013. Denny was a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church, enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, listening to country music, puttering around the house with odd jobs that needed to be done and taking his grandchildren to parks.
Survivors include his loving wife; sons, Jacob, Paul (Rachel) and Mark (Gwendlynn); grandsons, Cameron, Reece, Caleb, Cody and Gavin; brother Tomas; sister Mary and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and sister in law Janice.
The family has decided on a small private service for the relatives. We thank everyone who prayed for Denny; and for his many friends who had him in their thoughts. God Bless you all!
