Denise Gargani Dent

The most fierce breast cancer fighter;
Denise Gargani Dent, 62 of Rockford passed away peacefully Saturday morning at Rosewood Care Center.
Her loving husband of 42 years, Greg Dent was by her side holding her hand. They shared a beautiful love story that inspired everyone. She adored her children Jamie (Jodi) Dent and her daughter and BFF Nicole Dent. She loved to travel, cooked the most authentic Italian food and always smiled with a sparkle.
Denise dedicated her life to her family and friends and working to help others as a professional in the health and medical field.
She is predeceased by her father August (Gus) Gargani. Survived by her mother Claudine Gargani-Utez, her siblings Tammy (Russ) Ridens, Tim (Liz) Gargani, Debbie Gargani, Cindy (Jonathon) Byrd, special Mother-in-law Viola Dent and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation Tuesday 5:00pm-8:00pm. Funeral Wednesday at 11:00am preceded by a one hour visitation. Both will be held at Fitzgerald Funeral Home Mulford Rd, Rockford. A lifelong family friend, Stateline Church Pastor Gregg Giamalva will officiate.
