Delores E. Vinje

Delores E. Vinje, 90, of Rockford, passed away June 27, 2022, in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born July 25, 1931, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Charles and Jeanette Martin. She attended Lutheran School in St. Paul. MN. At the age of 7 years old she contracted Polio, which did not stop her for becoming the loving wife, mother, and grandparent. Dolores met Sverre Vinje in 1953, they married December 21, 1955. They moved to Rockford in 1968. She was employed at Boylan Catholic High School from 1979-1999.
She is survived by her husband Sverre, children, Michael, Lawrence, Kevin, Gerald, Constance, and Layne; numerous grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren, and many special family friends. She is predeceased by parents, children, Ronald, Colleen, Kip, Dennis, and Vickie and grandchildren, Amanda and Brandon.
Mass will be 9:45 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Cremation rites were accorded. In lieu of flowers donation to Heartland Hospice or St. Annes Center.
