Della M. Jones

Della M. Jones, 80 of Rockford, left her loved ones to be with God on Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Swedish American Hospital. Born Feb. 18, 1929 in Walnut Ridge, Ark, daughter of Jasper and Dovie (Owens) Morris. Married Charles C. Jones, whom preceded her in 1969. Survivors include her daughter, Virginia Tyler; grandchildren, William (Bobbie) Nolan, Kevin (Vicki) Nolan, Michele Mahnke and Tracey (David) Mathes; 10 great grandchildren; brothers, James (Dodie) Morris of Wayne, MI and Larry (Ruth) Morris of Walnut Ridge, Ark; special friend, Betty Holcomb and many brothers and sisters in Christ. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Funeral Service Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Rockford United General Baptist Church, 3126 Marshall St. with Pastor Wayne Hodge officiating. Interment in New Milford Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. and continues on Thursday at church from 10:00 -11:00 a.m.
