Debra L. Holliman

Debra L. Holliman, 65, of Rockford, IL, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019.

Debra was born in Rockford, IL on March 24, 1954, daughter of James and Annalee (Addington) Brazelton. After 33 years of being a CNA, she then opened her home up to being a daycare provider, caring for many children, which she loved most in life. Debra was born with a passion for traveling and went on many cruises, making her way around the world. She loved reading, crocheting, taking care of her family and keeping in touch with friends she met along her life journey. Debra touched many lives and had an endlessly loving, warm heart. She will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor Debra’s memory include her children, Michael Riley, Sharry (Kurt) Sonnenburg, Evelyn Lubrano, Stephen and Terrell Peters and Treyvon and Deonte Holliman; a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; siblings, Mary and Doc Brazelton, Diane Mandujano, Kim Peters and Chad Matson. She is predeceased by her father, James Brazelton; grandmother, Hazel McCourt and significant other, Patricia Dates.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2019 with a Time of Sharing at 5:30 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. Rockford, IL 61103. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
