Debra Jean (Amenda) (Hart) Christiansen 1951- 2018
Debra Christiansen, 66, of Belvidere, Illinois passed away at home surrounded by her family on Monday, July 23, 2018. She was born November 6, 1951 in Rockford, Illinois to Donald and Judith (Burd) Amenda. Debra was a graduate of Auburn High School. She retired from the Chrysler Automotive Plant in Belvidere, IL in 2007.
Debra is survived by her parents; Donald and Judith Amenda of Rockford, IL, daughters; Kristine (Thomas) Gentry of Green Cove Springs, FL and Diana (Dustin) Slager of West Plains, MO, brother; Jerry (Jennifer) Amenda, sister; JoEllen (Dan) O’Neil all of Rockford, IL and Eugene (Ruth) Amenda of Winnebago, IL, 3 grandchildren; Andru (Jamie) Slager of West Plains, MO, Jason Johnsen Jr. of Cherry Valley, IL and Burnie Slager currently stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA, great granddaughter; Jadynce Slager of West Plains, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. Debra loved being a grandmother and was proud of all her grandchildren. Debra was preceded in death by her husband, Burnie L. Hart in 1998 and also her second husband, Neil Christiansen in October 2013. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at OSF Home Health & Hospice.
Memorial service will be held at 10:30 Friday, July 27, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108.
