Dean Allen Gors

Dean Allen Gors   Dean Allen Gors, 42, a resident of Rockford  for 20 years, went to be with the Lord on June 29, 2009 in his home surrounded by his family.  Dean was born February 15, 1967 in Sterling, IL the son of Judith (Freet) Gors.   Dean graduated from Sterling High School and proudly served his country in the US Air Force.  Dean worked in security at TSA Chicago OHare Airport and worked as a loan officer at Janan Mortgage.  He was an ordained minister and youth pastor at Faith Tabernacle Church and is currently a member of Faith Community Church. His life was dedicated to his sons, David and Matthew.   Dean cherished spending time with them and sharing with them unconditional love and faith in the Lord.   Dean is survived by his mother, Judith; sons, David Allen and Matthew Keith Gors; brother Leland Gors; sister, Melinda (Jeff) Bagg; sister-in-law, Barbara Gors; nieces and nephews, Maegen Bagg, Manuel and Leah, Nicole (Jerry) Mieler, Kevin Gors, Jr., Amber Gors, Jordan Gors, Alex Gors, and Dillon Gors, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Dean was predeceased by his brother, Kevin Wayne Gors and his grandparents, Marion Dodd, George Freet, Richard George Gors and Maud Violet Gors; aunts, Nancy Kendrick, Connie Roldan, and Patricia Konczak.   Funeral services for Dean will be held on Friday, July 3, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with Rev. Jeff Hart, Pastor of Faith Community officiating, followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, IL.  Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.
