David M. Martin

David M. Martin, 73, Rockford, died at 8:15 a.m. Monday, December 8, 2008 in his home surrounded by his loving family.  He fought a very courageous battle with cancer.  Born April 25, 1935 in Springfield, son of Luther and Louise Conlon Martin.  Married Denise Rouschmeyer in Phalsbourg, France on October 19, 1954.  Veteran of the U.S. Air Force.  Member of St. Rita Catholic Church.  Also member of the Harmony Singing Society and American Legion Post No.1207.  Retired in 1999 as General Manager of the Rockford office of Trans Union Credit Bureau.    Survivors include his wife, Denise; son, Steve (Janine) Martin, Rockford; grandchildren, Kyle (Taryn), Cori (Steve), Jonathan, Whitney, Taylor, Cody and Katelyn; great-grandchild, Mason; brothers, Don (Mary Rose) Martin, Springfield and Joseph (Shirley) Martin, Denver, Co and nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his son, Jean-Marie Martin and his parents.   Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008 in St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. William R. Wentink officiating.  Burial in Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.  Visitation from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
