David "Dave" J. St. Angel, 67, Rockford, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012, in his home. He was born October 25, 1944, in Rockford, the son of Charles and Alda (Ridnour) St. Angel. He was a 1962 graduate of Rockford East High. Dave married Nancy Garton in Rockford on November 23, 1963. He was a plumber and most recently maintenance manager at Greenlee Co. Dave served as director of the Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corp for 6 years. He enjoyed woodworking, especially carving duck decoys. He also enjoyed photography, cooking, and gardening. Dave was a World War II history buff. Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughter, Yvonne (Zulfi Amjad) St. Angel of Sussex, WI; son, Kevin (Erica) St. Angel of Portage, WI; grandchildren, Bella, Dorian and Dario Amjad; brother, Charlie (Jackie) St. Angel; nephews, Scott St. Angel, Mark, Mike & Matt Csencsits; stepmother, Dorothy St. Angel; sisterinlaw, Susan (Lou) Csencsits; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his parents; son, David and daughter, Stephanie.Memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 28, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a scholarship fund through Phantom Regiment. To
