David Carl Anderson

David Carl Anderson, 73, Winnebago, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2022, in his home. He was born on June 18, 1949, in Chicago, the son of Carl and Anna Lee (Hemphill) Anderson. David married Sandra Romanek in Rockford on April 1, 1980. He was a general contractor working for the Rockford school district with asbestos abatement and later was employed by Bradley and Bradley Architectural for many years until his retirement. David enjoyed the outdoors and was a longtime supporter of the Pheasants Forever organization.
Survived by his wife, Sandy; his son Derek; his grandchildren, Jordan, Samuel, Emelia, Isabel, and Lily; his sisters-in-law, Diane, Pamela, Gail (Bob), and Kathy (Adam); many nieces and nephews and his best friend, Peter, and his “adopted son”, David. Predeceased by his parents and his brother James.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Av. with a visitation from 3:00 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Pheasants Forever in David’s name. Share online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
