David Bruce Frank

David Bruce Frank, 74, of Rockford, passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in his home. Born September 18, 1940 in Rockford; son of Eric and Edith (Olson) Frank. Married Mary Smith on April 28, 1962. David retired in 2006 with 20 years of service at United Tool and Engineering where he continued working on a part time basis. David was a world traveler, enjoyed wood working and spending time at his trailer in Lake Mills, WI.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; father, Eric; children, Rebecca (John) Evans and Steven (Kristine) Frank; grandchildren, Tarrah (Kris) Wolf, Hannah (Joel) Lewis, Naomi (Augie) Kim, Hattie Evans, John "Thad" (Rejanee) Evans, Taylor, Jarod and Caelan Frank; great-grandchildren, Alex, Sam and Ethan Wolf, Jack and Max Lewis; brothers, Larry (Sandy) Frank, Bryan Frank; sister, Jan (Don) Heide and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his mother, Edith Olson.

Funeral service will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 11, 2014 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108 with Pastor Ron Meyer of Flora Community Church officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 8:00p.m. Friday, October 10, in the funeral home.
