David ""?Dave L. Atkinson, 59 of Rockford, IL passed away at 12:18 a.m. on June 7, 2007 in Peru, IL. Born on June 11, 1947; son of Harry Atkinson and Virginia Havens. Dave was a 1965 graduate of Guilford High School and attended Rock Valley College. He served in the U.S. Army. Dave married Patricia ""?Pat Bowler on August 17, 1968 in Rockford, IL. He was employed by Iscar Metals for 5 years as a Product Manager. His favorite pastimes included fishing, boating, music, playing his guitar, and he loved spending time with his dogs. Survivors include his wife, Pat; daughter, Jennifer Atkinson(fianca©, Boyce Copeland son, Jeff Atkinson; grandchildren, Ian Atkinson (his mother Raquel) and Vera Atkinson(her mother, Christi sister, Linda (Raymond) Rick; father, Harry Atkinson; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Predeceased by his mother. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5- 7pm on Monday, June 11 and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
