Darlene Louise Johnson 1943-2017

Darlene Johnson, 73, passed away at home Friday, February 17, 2017 under the loving care of her beloved husband, Burt Johnson and Hospice of the Valley, Glendale, AZ.
Born March 25, 1943, to Gunnard and Helen (Nelson) Clauson. Married Burt E. Johnson on December 8th, 1962, in Temple Baptist Church Rockford, IL.
They were married for 55 wonderful years and had two sons and four grandchildren.
Darlene was the 1960 Midsommar Queen and a graduate of East High in 1962.
In retirement years, she was a charter member of the Festival Queen Bees quilting group. Darlene and Burt attended the Happy Trails Fellowship, in Surprise, AZ.

Darlene is survived by her husband of 55 years, Burt Johnson; son David Johnson and Bobbie Johnson (daughter in-law); son Ronald Johnson and Corey Johnson (daughter in-law); grandson Mathew Johnson; granddaughter Lily Johnson; granddaughter Samantha Johnson; several nieces and nephews; and 26 first cousins in Sweden.

Predeceased in death by her parents; brother, Lavern Clauson; sister Lorraine Ebert; and grandson Michael Johnson.

Funeral service Saturday, February, 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Mulford Chapel 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with visitation from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. Interment will be held in Arlington Memorial Park.
