Darius H. Corky Trosper, 62, of Rockford, died on October 18, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Corky was born July 5, 1946 in Brownsville, TN the son of Ocie and Era (Edwards) Trosper. Corky married Susan Hearring on April 30, 1976 at the Church by The Side of The Road in Rockton, IL. Corky was a US Army Veteran of Vietnam. He attended Rock Valley College where he received his Associates Degree. Corky worked as an assembler for Daimler Chrysler for 30 years and was a Union Steward at Chrysler for 12 years until retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Belvidere American Legion Post 0077 and the UAW Local 1268. Corky loved hunting, his farm, taking walks through his woods and fishing at the dam. He was very active in his childrens school functions and most of all enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Corky is survived by his wife, Susan; his children, Brian (Dawn), Brandon (Rhonda), and Breeona Trosper; his grandhchidren, Julie and Jordan; his sisters, Dorothy Grear and Marjorie Crihfield; his brothers, Bobby (Iline), Thomas (Jean) and Ocie Trosper, Jr.; his close friends, Ed Wilson, Bill Bull, Lenny Hada, and Bobby Smith along with many nieces and nephews. Corky was predeceased by his parents and his brothers, J.W. Trosper, Billy Trosper, Lynn Trosper, and Jerry Don Trosper. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 2008 from 5:30 7:30 P.M. followed by a time of sharing at 7:30 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S.
