Daniel R. Johnson

Daniel Richard Johnson, age 29 of Rockford, IL passed away on Thursday, April 7, 2022.

Daniel was born in Machesney Park, IL on August 3, 1992, son of Kevin S. Johnson and Julie A. Romanowski. He was employed with Anderson Toyota of Loves Park for 10 years. Daniel enjoyed riding his motorcycle, various shooting sports, survivalist hiking and camping, attending concerts and shows and playing video games. Most of all, Daniel enjoyed his time spent with dear family and many friends.

Those left to honor Daniel’s memory include his mother, Julie Romanowski; siblings, Travis (Amanda) Johnson, Joshua Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Ethan Johnson and Katie Johnson; maternal grandfather, Richard Romanowski; nieces and nephews, Noah, Lucas, Jaydran and Anastasia; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; best friends, Brick Wadley and Kelcy Wadley. He is predeceased by his father, Kevin S. Johnson; paternal grandmother, Theda (John) Day and paternal grandfather, Carl S. Johnson.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. located at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. A funeral service will begin at 6:00 p.m. also in the funeral home. Cremation rites will be accorded.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daniel’s name to the Johnson family to be established at a later date.
