Daniel Patrick Gillespie, 59 of Rockford passed away January 17, 2008 in his home. Born in Chicago, IL on November 6, 1948 the son of Henry and Gertrude (Bloedorn) Gillespie. Dan married Linda Seaworth in Rockford on July 1, 2000. Dan was in the United States Naval Reserves and worked as an airplane mechanic and later worked as a history teacher in Chicago. Dan was a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles No. 392. Dan is survived by his wife Linda, son Brian (Pam) Gillespie, daughter Julie (Jeff) Sengenberger, step-daughters Tonya and Brandie Seaworth. Grandchildren Jayson, Elizabeth, Jackson, Justin and step-grandson Savawn Holden. Sisters Marilyn and Kathy. Brothers Mike (Carolyn) Gillespie and Don (Kay) Gillespie. Mother-in-Law Muriel Roggensack, Sister-in-law Sharon (Larry) Crimmins, Brothers-in-law Ron (Lisa) Roggensack and Mel (Barb) Roggensack. Predeceased by his parents. Special thanks to Ron Roggensack for being Dans ""Rock"" as he called him to help get him through, and thanks to Northern Illinois Hospice for their care and compassion. No funeral services will be held for Dan per his request. A memorial pig roast will be held for Dan in the late spring or early summer. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made in care of the family. The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Road. To
