Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, and Brother

Daniel Weller, 63, of Rockford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born in Rockford on December 22, 1953; the son of Robert and Jean (Stover) Weller, Jr. He was married to Patricia (Sabin) Weller on May 18, 1985 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Dan worked as a Wire EDM Operator for 38 years at EWT/3DCNC, Inc. He was a Bears fan, a NASCAR enthusiast, liked camping with family, and he enjoyed traveling with his wife, Patti. Dan will always be remembered as a sweet, gentle and hardworking man. Dan loved his family dearly, and was a fantastic husband, father, grandpa, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his wife, Patti Weller; daughter, Danyel (Shawn) Doyle; grandsons, Brady and Justin Doyle; father, Robert “Bud” Weller, Jr.; brothers, Richard (Judy) Weller, Pete (Jan) Weller, and Bob (Lonnie Roser-Weller) Weller. Dan is predeceased by his mother, Jean Weller in 2009.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 13, 2017 at 6:00 PM, with a visitation from 4:00 pm until time of service at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd., Rockford, IL, 61108.
