Daniel F. Cree

Daniel F. Cree, 61 of Rockford passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2007 in Savanna, IL. Born October 6, 1946 in Kewanee, IL the son of James William and Eileen Owens. Dan married Brigitte E. Blum in Rockford on August 30, 1985.Dan was with the United States Army Reserves for two years. Dan was a self-employed semi truck driver and a member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local No.325 Truck Drivers Union. He was last employed by S&S Carthage. Dan is survived by his daughters Carmen (John) Freeburg, Monika (James) Ishmon of Freeport and Sylvia (Jeffery) Garnhart of Mesa, AZ. Grandchildren Jack Freeburg and Jessica and Kaitlin Garnhart. Brother James Richard "Dick" Cree and sister Mary Kosmecki of Lanark. Mother Eileen Owens of Wyoming, IL. Three nieces Leslie, Melisa and Alison and two nephews Ryan and Quin. Dan is preceded in death by his wife and his father. Funeral Mass Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 11 am in St. Bernadette Catholic Church with the Rev. Michael Bolger officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 23, 2007 from 4-7 pm in Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., and from 10 am until time of Mass at church. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Memorials would be appreciated to the American Cancer Soicety, 4312 E. State St., Rockford, IL 61108. To
