Daniel E. Christiansen

Daniel E. Christiansen, 75, of Machesney Park, passed away March 26, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family. Born August 31, 1943 in Chicago; the son of Robert and Florence (Engel) Christiansen. He married Marilyn Pettett on June 8, 1963 in Glenview.
Dan was the former owner and operator of Dan’s Sinclair Service Station in Skokie, South Bluff Golf Course in Peru, Meineke Muffler in Palatine and Dan’s Custom Exhaust in Marengo, IL.
A member of the Cruisers of Northern Illinois Car Club, Dan enjoyed golf and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Marilyn Christiansen; children, Cathleen (Brian) Benjamin and Daniel (Leslie) Christiansen; and his granddaughter, Ann Christiansen.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, David and Douglas Christiansen.
At the request of the family, no services are scheduled.
