Curley C. Marino AKA-“Roy Kiser” of Rockford passed away Friday, March 29, 2013 at home from a sudden illness. Born Jan. 6, 1945 in Janesville, WI and was raised in Shirland, IL. A veteran of the US Army serving in Vietnam from 1965-1967. Married his loving wife of 48 years, Mona Hansen on December 29, 1965. Curley worked at Ingersoll for 19 years, then Aqua Matic (Osmonics, Pentar) until his retirement. He loved to work on cars, woodworking, gardening and John Wayne were some of his favorites too. But most of all, family was his main priority and meant so much to him and he will be missed by all who knew him. Survivors include his wife, Mona; daughter, Theresa; son, Lloyd (Stephanie); grandchildren, Robert (Tiffany), Charles, Bythany and Joshua and his faithful K9 companion, April Marie. Preceded in death by two grandchildren, his father , mother-in-law and sister-in-law. Funeral service Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home, Riverside chapel, 3910 N. Rockton Ave. with Pastor Ron Hease of North Love Baptist Church officiating. Interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family.
