Ralph Craig Kingsbury, 56, of Rockford, formerly of Elgin, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at Park Ridge Health Care Center. Born January 14, 1956 in Cedar Rapids, IA; son of Ralph and Rosemary (Jordal) Kingsbury. Craig worked at Walmart for 7 years as a janitor and also at Barbara Olson Center of Hope. Member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Elgin, assistant teacher for Sunday school in Elgin. At church he would carry the bible and guitar for the Pastor back to his office and he would greet people and open the doors for the elderly ladies. Craig also loved hugs.
Survived by his mother, Rosemary; brothers, Paul Kingsbury of Poplar Grove and Eric Kingsbury of Hinesville, GA; sisters, Vicki (Michael) Deutsch of Woodstock and Cheryl (Dean) Carr of Poplar Grove; nieces and nephews, Brandy, Melissa, Dusty, Kayley, Brandon, Crystal, Ashley, Alexandria, Ryan, Valerie and Terri; greatnieces, Jennifer and Cheyenne and greatnephew, Jake; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by his father and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, ILnbsp; 61108. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial in Malta Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Memorials may be made to A.I.D (Association for Individual Development) or Westminster Presbyterian Church in Elgin.
