Connie T. Pec

Connie T. Pec, 63, passed away on May 11, 2022 in Rockford, Illinois. Born May 16, 1958 in Chicago, Illinois daughter to Walter and Betty Magda. Connie attended Hubbard High School in Chicago and later moved to Berwyn, Illinois to raise her kids. As her friend, Halley, said, “Connie was the hardest and softest person I knew all at the same time. She was not shy about voicing her opinion about anything to anyone, but she was a fierce and loyal friend, animal lover, and mom/grandma.” Connie moved to Rockford to be closer to her family, as she loved spending time with her grandson Hayden. She honestly adored holding conversations with anybody and everybody, and she enjoyed estate sales (or any sale really) where she could find new tchotchkes to bring home to add to her collections. In her free time, she loved feeding and watching the birds. She may have been rough around the edges, but everyone will miss her big heart.

She will be missed by those who loved her most, her children Jeanine (Dylan) Shumaker and James (Jackie Pereda) Evers; her grandson Hayden; sisters Pamela (Ray) Zidarich and Maria (Kevin) Murphy; nephews Todd Murphy and Raymond Zidarich; beloved fur babies Mabel, Trudy, Irene, Stanley, Gladys and so many beloved friends (people and animals alike). She is predeceased by her parents.

Please join the family in celebrating Connie’s life in the way she would have loved - with pizza, sharing stories, and casual attire. The Celebration of Life will take place Saturday, June 11, 2022 from 11:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Moretti’s Ristorante and Pizzeria, 1175 W. Lake Street, Bartlett, IL 60103.
