Colleen A. Linssen

Colleen A. Linssen, 87, of Rockton, passed away Monday, August 13, 2018. She was born March 12, 1931, in Freeport, Illinois, the daughter of George and Sarah (Grattan) Quick. Colleen married the love of her life, Neil Linssen on October 11, 1947, they were married 70 years. Colleen dearly loved her family and made sure they were cared for, preparing many meals for special occasions. She enjoyed vacationing in Wisconsin Dells, Spooner, Wisconsin and Delavan Lake with Evelyn. Colleen will be forever remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. The family would like to thank the caring and compassionate staff at Heartland Hospice.
Survived by her husband, Neil Linssen; children, Kathy (John) Luther, Mona (Rick) Lilly and Michael Linssen; grandchildren, Sarah Sitton, Elizabeth Hardy, Anna Mullvain, Jeanette Luther, Jonathan Luther, Zachary Linssen, Cameron Linssen, Jennifer Canfield Duffy and Daniel Lilly; 16 great grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents; daughter, Mary Hughes; grandchildren, Suzzanne Luther and Donald Dosier; 2 brothers and a sister.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Bridget Catholic Church, 600 Clifford Ave, Loves Park, IL 61111. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Bridget Catholic Church. Burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
