Clemens E. "Gene" May

Clemens E. "Gene" May, Jr., 64, of Rockford, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 in his home. Born November 7, 1948 in Dixon, the son of Clemens E. and Lovina (Shelton) May, Sr. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the United States Air Force. He earned a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and spent most of his life working at a Tool and Die Maker. He married Karen Verano on March 11, 2000.

He is survived by his wife, Karen; daughters, Tanya (Tom) Shank and Stephanie May; grandchildren, Abigayle, Sarah and Michael; stepson, Jade; step-granddaughter, Jachelkhar; siblings, Michael May and Deborah (Steven) Bergeson and life long friend, Bob Jerome. Predeceased by his parents and Russell May.

Funeral service will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
