Clayton H. Punch Belongia, 82 of Rockford, died on Sunday, May 13, 2007 in his home. Born December 20, 1924 in Pine Lake, WI, the son of Fred and Mathilda (Collard) Belongia. Veteran of the United States Army.nbsp; Married his loving wife Hazel Irene Boggs in Shawano, WI on November, 3, 1945. Worked for the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 23 for 54 years, retiring in 1986. Member of St. Rita Catholic Church, St. Ritas Knights of Columbus and the Disabled Veterans of Cherry Valley. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Hazel; daughters, Debbie (Allen) Brush of Davis Junction, Teresa Belongia-Garrett of Palatine, Connie (Jim) Moses, Judy Masters and Penny (Chris) White all of Rockford; 12 Grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brother, Dale Belongia of Greenbay, WI and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, Marilyn Sue; son, Jerry; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Funeral mass Friday, May 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rita Catholic Church with Rev. Gerald Kobbeman officiating. Interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 17 in Fitzgerald Funeral Home, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. from 5-7 p.m. with a rosary service to be recited at 7.
