Clara "Betty" Bolanos

Clara Elizabeth (Betty) Bolanos, nee Saul born July 24, 1930 to Harvey E. and Clara M. Saul in Salem, Virginia. Married to William G. Bolanos (deceased) of Chicago in 1951. Settled in Chicago 1952, later a resident of Mt. Prospect, Schaumburg, Belvedere, Poplar Grove, IL and Fort Walton Beach, FL.
Clara is survived by daughters Susan R. Binkis (Paul) of Chicago and Wendy L. Mensah (Tony) of Poplar Grove. Beloved grandmother of Brian M. Fischer (Poplar Grove, IL) and Amanda Fischer (Orlando, FL). Dear sister of Evelyn Perdue (Salem, Va.) and sister-in-law of Sheila Saul (Roanoke, VA.) Predeceased by parents, sisters Rachel Akers, Ruth Thomas, Mary Shank and brother Harvey “James” Saul. Devoted aunt of many nieces and nephews.
An avid reader and crossword devotee, Clara spent much of her working life in the automobile industry, serving for many years as bookkeeper and comptroller of Martin J. Kelly Oldsmobile (Arlington Heights, IL). She was also an active member of the Mt. Prospect Business and Professional Women’s Association and served as BPW Illinois State Treasurer. Services private.
