Chuck H. Rimbey 60 of Rockford passed away peacefully in his home. Chuck graduated from West High School in 1970 and began his career at Pierce Laminated Products where he worked for 40 years and retired in December of 2012. Chuck married Rosemary Mazzetti on May 13, 1978 in St Anthony Church. Rosemary predeceased him in 2003. Chuck was an avid sports fan, especially for the Boylan Titans, where he was the head of the chain gang. His most recent hobby was coaching his son and soon to be son-in-law with their fantasy football leagues. He especially loved spending time talking sports with his cigar family at Rudy's.
Survivors include his three children, Guy (Traci Newman) Rimbey of Des Moines, IA, Carly (Jason Maurer) Rimbey of Rockford and Mary Rimbey of Rockford. Mother, Carmella Rimbey of Rockford. Brother, Bob (Elaine) Rimbey of Nashville, TN. Sisters, Sr. Judith Rimbey of New York, NY and Marlene Rimbey of Rockford. Sister-in-law, Camille (Jerry) Schlickman of Rockford. His beloved dog, Gracie and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Predeceased by his wife Rosemary and his father Charles Sr.
Special thanks to the White family for always making him feel like an honorary family member and Luke D'Angelo for their Sunday Chicago Bears viewings. Also a big thanks to all his friendships from UPS and Pierce Laminated, especially Rich Chapman.
Funeral Mass at 11am Friday December 27, 2013 at St Anthony Church with the Franciscan Friars officiating. Visitation from 3pm until 7pm Thursday December 26 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home 3910 N. Rockton Ave. In lieu of flowers memorials to be established by the family. Express online condolences at www.fitzgeraldfh.com.
