Christian Solfisburg IV, of Rockford, IL, age 74, passed away on Thursday, December 13th, 2018 at his home.
He was born in Aurora, IL on July 18, 1944, the son of Christian H. “Bud” Solfisburg III and Mary Francis Levi Solfisburg. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother Andrew P. Solfisburg. He is survived by his partner of 35 years, Nancy Kleinhans; his seven children, Beth Leonard, Christian Solfisburg V, Lindsay Johnson, Emily (Ronald) Roeder, Robin (Philip) Clark Solfisburg, Jessica Solfisburg, and Tracy (Ryan) Dinneen. In addition, Chris is also survived by his siblings James (Alberta) Solfisburg, Mary Louise (William) Scanlon, Robert (Amy) Solfisburg and Joan (Joseph) Daul, as well as his 14 grandchildren; Madison and Courtney Leonard; Kiah Jay and Wiley Solfisburg; Logan, Tatum and Scarlet Roeder; Jacob Solfisburg and Quinnlan Desmond; Aidric and Laszlo Solfisburg; Wyatt, Gustav and Genevieve Dinneen.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103 followed by a Time of Sharing beginning at 12:30 p.m. Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.
