Charlotte H. Lehane

Charlotte H. LeHane, 93, of Rockford, IL, passed away in her home on Thursday, October 21, 2021.

Charlotte was born in Oak Park, IL on August 4, 1928, daughter of Lawrence C. and Florabelle M. (Johnson) Huff. She graduated from Lyons Township High School, Class of 1946. Charlotte then earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Arts at Oxford College for Women of Ohio and also attended the Chicago Institute of Art. She married John F. LeHane in Chicago, IL on October 14, 1950. Charlotte helped her husband run his business, John’s Paint Pail of Loves Park, and later was the proud owner of Char Market Research. She was a strong willed woman and the best giver of advice. Charlotte enjoyed traveling the world, attending events at the Coronado Theatre in Rockford, playing bridge, reading books, watching her network television stations and she loved playing solitaire on her tablet. Most of all, Charlotte cherished her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren. Special memories include taking the grandkids with her to her hair appointments, going to their Secret Park, taking them to Ambrose Christmas Store and then going to Spring Garden for dinner. Charlotte will be dearly missed.

Those left to honor her memory include her beloved daughter, Charlyn (Dave) White; dearest grandchildren, Brandon and Rachel White; sister, Jerry Lou Marshall and her loving cat, Pumpkin. Charlotte is predeceased by her parents and husband, John.

The family would like to give special thanks to Charlotte’s caregiver Lali Lotikashvili for her loving care and compassion over the past years.

Memorials may be made to the Family of Charlotte LeHane to be established at a later date.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL 61108. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of service. Entombment will conclude in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Machesney Park, IL.
