Charles T. DeMolli ofRockford died on November 26, 2008, after a prolonged illness. He was born May 22, 1916, inRockford, Illinois, the son of Angelo and Bambina (Cagnoni) DeMolli. He married Beatrice Scandroli inRockford on April 30, 1947 and they had three daughters, Mary Margaret (Terry) Anderson, Katherine Tway and Charlene DeMolli. Beatrice died March 26, 1965. He married JoAnn Scida on June 24, 1967 and united his family with hers into a loving, happy family gaining three more daughters, Linda (Ron) Johnson, Donna (Rich) Vuttera, and Patricia (Tim) Bailey. JoAnn died July 25, 1992. He has six grandchildren, James and Julie Johnson, Beau (Abbey) and Eric Tway, Gina and Grant Anderson, two step-grandchildren, Sarah and Marty Vuttera and one great-grandchild, Karder Tway. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He ended his life long career as a bricklayer, stone mason and tile setter when he retired in 1981. Chucks passion was golf, having been a finalist in the mens city golf tournament in 1938 and having won the Boylan Open in 1978. Survived by his six daughters, grandchildren, great-grandson, brother Louis (Margaret) DeMolli ofLeesburg, Florida, brother-in-law Carl (Helen, deceased) Sciortino, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by sister Rose (Prosper) Albee and brothers Alfred DeMolli and Harry (Catherine) DeMolli. His daughters want to thank the staff at Cor Mariae for their extraordinarily loving and compassionate care.
