Charles R. Domenick, 95, of Rockford, passed away on Friday, February 26, 2016. He was born in Philadelphia, PA, on July 22, 1920; to parents Arthur and Margaret (Mullen) Domenick. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married his loving wife of 45 years, on April 26, 1971 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
He was passionate about many things including the time he spent working on aircraft in WWII, his 30 years with the Strandquist Motor Co., the Peanuts Gang, his house and yard, but especially his family.
Charlie was a loving husband, generous father, grandfather, and great grandfather; he will be dearly missed. We will love and remember him always.
He is survived by his wife, Eva M. Domenick; daughter, Jody (Karl) Nurse; grandchildren, Julie (Angus) Goding, Laura Unger, Karlie (Joseph) Sherman, and Ryan Nurse; brothers, Arthur Di Domenico, Joseph Domenick, and Edward Domenick; 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Calvary Catholic Cemetery with the Reverend Dean Parker officiating.
