Charles L. Powers

Charles L. Powers, 96, of Rockford passed away peacefully on Monday, January 1, 2018. He was born August 15, 1921 in Tomahawk, Wi, to Lee and Margaret (Lee) Powers.
Charles married the love of his life Phyllis Hover, on June 26, 1948.
Charles faithfully served our U.S. Army as a veteran of WWII.
He retired from National Lock after 30 years and was a long time member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
Charles is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children, James (Judy Plaska) Powers, Jerry (Kathy) Powers, Roger (Jenni Dahl) Powers and Cynthia Anderson; several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and son-in-law, Tony Anderson.
Funeral mass will be 10 A.M. Friday, January 12, 2018 at St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 2400 Bell Ave. Rockford. Visitation 9 A.M until time of service at the church. Entombment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
