Charles "Chuck" Cardey, Jr.

Charles “Chuck” Cardey, Jr., 66, of Rockford died at home Saturday, June 24, 2017. Born January 8, 1951 in Rockford the son of Charles and Clairbell (Dahl) Cardey, Sr. Served in the US Army during Vietnam and married his loving wife, Connie Mousel on April 30, 1982. He enjoyed camping, fishing, working in the yard, and talking on his CB radio. He is survived by his wife Connie; children, Tom Cardey and Amanda Lander (Mike Bohn); grandchildren, Justin (Chelsea) Leatherby; Jesse (Ivanka) Carr, Samantha Carr (Jeremy Johannes); Brianna and Cain Lander; Hannah and Amber Cardey; great grandchildren, Maddie Leatherby and Lane Johannes; brother Ronald (Paulette) Cardey; sisters Carol (Paul Peterson), Linda Schock, Sharon (Gus) Starnes, and several special nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Carr and brother Bruce Cardey. The family extends a heartfelt thank you to his niece Jo Starnes for all the help in comfort care she has given these past weeks.
