Celestino "Tito" Rosa

Celestino “Tito” Rosa, 72 of Rockford, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, July 20, 2024, in Rockford, Illinois. Born to Ambrosio Rosa and Petra Peña in Juncos, Puerto Rico, on September 6, 1951. Celestino met the love of his life,Vicenta, in 1983 and they soon blended their family of six children. He was the eldest member of his church, Fuente de Vida, and dedicated his time to helping those in the community. Those who knew him looked up to him as a father figure and he took great pride in being the patriarch of the family. He was an avid Cubs fan and proud Puerto Rican but will be remembered most for his generosity.

He is survived by his wife, Vicenta; children, Celestino (Sarah) Rosa Jr, Petra (Schuyler) Tolefree, Miriam (Jose) Reveles, Alberto (Noemi Sanchez) Alegria, Jasmine (Ramiro Sanchez) Rosa, Alma (Branden) Fredricksen; seventeen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings, Juana Rosa, Ramona Alvarez, Jose Rosa. He is predeceased by his parents; sister, Carmen Escribano; and brother, Arnaldo Rosa.

A visitation for Celestino will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. through 7:00 p.m., sermon at 6:30 p.m. Burial will take place Friday, July 26, 2024, at Arlington Memorial Park. To send online condolences and share memories, please visitwww.fitzgeraldfh.com.
