Cecil Ervin Lehrmann, 63, a resident of Rockford since 1975 and formerly of Granite, Oklahoma, died October 26, 2008 in his home. Cecil was born June 16, 1945 in Granite, Oklahoma the son of Ben and Inez (Martin) Lehrman. Cecil was enlisted in Oklahoma and Illinois with the Army National Guard from 1968 until 1978. He worked for Rockford Blacktop and with the Laborers Union Local 32 until retiring in 2004. Cecil held a special interest in his trucks in his younger years. He loved western movies and was a collector of many items, especially baseball caps. Cecil is survived by his brother, James Jim (Marietta) Lehrmann; his nieces, Melissa Lehrmann, Michelle (Meril) Ward, Jamie Lehrmann, Morgan Lehrmann and his nephew, Mason Lehrmann; his uncle, Luther Luke (Rita) Martin; his aunt, Murriel Holdaway; his close cousins, Ladonna Robinson and Nichole (Mike) Dodds; his former wife Thersa and many great-nephews. A special thank you to his dear friend Junior Johnson. Cecil was predeceased by his parents, aunts and uncles; his daughter, Myra Lehrmann and his great-nephew, Dominic Ferro. A memorial service will be celebrated by Rev. Thomas Freeman, Pastor of Cathedral Baptist, on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
