Catherine M. Volsch, 90, Rockford, passed away April 30, 2011 at Wesley Willows in Rockford.nbsp; She was born March 18, 1921 in Beloit Hospital to William and Evelyn (Curry) Zinnecker of Rockton.nbsp; Cay graduated from Brother Dutton School in Beloit, Hononegah High School in Rockton and Beloit College in Beloit.nbsp; She was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Cay was employed by Douglas Aircraft, Escondido, CA and Ingersoll Milling Machine Company, Rockford, where she was a secretary to Robert M. Gaylord for 32 years.nbsp; After his death, she joined Blunt, Ellis and Loewi as a stock broker, retiring in 1970.nbsp; She served as a member of the Board of Directors of North Suburban Library and Treasurer of St. Annes Society.nbsp; She was an avid golfer and a previous member of Mauh-Nah-Tee-See Country Club in Rockford and the Beloit Country Club in Beloit.
Cay is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Francis Zinnecker and a nephew, Michael Robert Zinnecker.nbsp; She is survived by her brother Emmett Joseph (Dedie) Zinnecker, Rockton; sister-in-law, Millie Zinnecker; nephews, Robert M. Zinnecker, Loves Park and Emmett J. (Carmela) Zinnecker, Jr. Downers Grove; nieces, Cheryl (Al) Bach, Roscoe and Lori (Webster Hoener) Zinnecker, Elmhurst: great-nephews, Keith Zinnecker, Michael Zinnecker, Matthew Zinnecker and great-nieces, Holly Zinnecker, Chelsea Bach and Melissa Zinnecker.
Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2011 in St. Bridget Catholic Church with Rev. David E. Beauvais officiating.nbsp; Burial in Rockton Cemetery.nbsp; Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at the church on Friday.nbsp; Memorials may be made to St. Bridget Catholic Church Building Fund or American Cancer Society.nbsp; The family was assisted by Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Riverside Chapel, 3910 N.
