Catherine Elizabeth Allen Fritz

Catherine Elizabeth Allen Fritz, 79, of Rockford passed away peacefully Thursday, April 19, 2007 at SwedishAmerican Hospital. Born May 30, 1927 in Rockford, IL; the daughter of William Warren and Catherine Anabelle (Ott) Allen. Catherine married Walter G. Fritz on May 19, 1965. She received her nursing degree from OSF St Anthony Hospital in Rockford and was a nurse at Sundstrand until her retirement. She had a special love and devotion to her sister, Delores Allen. Catherine loved her family as well as they loved her. She will truly be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include husband, Walter of Rockford; brother, Kenneth (Virginia) Allen of Florida; sister, Delores Allen of Rockford; many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Paula for all her time given to Catherine by taking her to all of her doctor appointments. Predeceased by her parents, 3 brothers, Webster, Howard and Charles Allen; 2 sisters, Gladys and Virginia. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Fitzgerald Funeral Home amp; Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, ILnbsp; 61108 with Chaplain Dean Parker officiating. Burial in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Sunday prior to service. Memorials may be made to the family.
