Carroll L. Dahl, 88, of Winnebago, IL, passed away on Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at home with his family and loved ones.
Caroll was born on February 1, 1935, in Gale, Wisconsin. The son of Erwin and Myrtle (Olson) Dahl. He married Darlene M. Ellingson on June 8, 1957, in Northfield, Wisconsin. They went on to have three children. Carroll retired from Rockford Products, after working there for 39 years. After retirement he worked part time on the Cox Farm. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rockford.
Carroll loved working outside in his garage, and sheds, fixing things, building things, anything with his hands.
He loved to be out on a lake fishing with his friends and family. He loved his family so much. Carroll was an avid Green Bay Packers fan. He loved polka music and dancing.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; children, Wayne (Annette) Dahl, Charlene Straley, Darryl (Sue) Dahl; grandchildren, Weston (Sarah) Dahl, Shannon (Rocky) Velasco, Kyle Straley, Breanna Dahl, Jarrett Dahl; great grandchildren, Leah Dahl, and Nora Dahl; brothers, Ronald Dahl, Richard (Carolyn) Dahl; and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents.

Visitation for Carroll will be Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m., at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 3910 North Rockton Avenue, Rockford, IL 61103 with the funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. Burial at North Burritt Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Winnebago, IL 61088.
Memorials in Carroll’s name may be made out to the family.
