Carolyn Marie Grace

Carolyn Marie Grace, 77, Rockford, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020, at SwedishAmerican Hospital. She was born April 14, 1943, in Gideon, MO, the daughter of John and Hazel (Smith) Hollandsworth. Carolyn worked as a receptionist for Dr. Peter A. Paesani and later worked in the office of Dr. M.C. Nielsen for 20 years before ending her career as a receptionist and bookkeeper for the dentists at Camelot Endodontics. She was dedicated to her job and was always helping the patients feel comfortable when they came into the office. She was an avid card player and loved to socialize. Many people “collect things” in their life but Carolyn “collected friends” with her genuine love and caring.
Survived by her step -children, Jeff Miner, Joel (Anne) Miner, Jennifer (Shane) Hauser, and Jamie (Suzanne) Miner; many grandchildren; her brothers, Adia Ray and Jerry Dale Hollandsworth, and her sister, Eva Bell Atkinson; several nieces and nephews; many special friends, including Nancy Wallman and also her friend of 55 years, Gloria (Mike) Sabo and their family. Predeceased by her parents, John and Hazel Hollandsworth, her husbands, Leo Miner and Emmett Grace; her sisters, Virginia Joy Hollandsworth and Anna Mae Mayberry; her brothers James Roy and Richard Lynn Hollandsworth.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 12, 2020, at Calvary Baptist Church, 6286 Linden Rd. Rockford, with Pastor Michael Labate officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the church. Masks and social distancing will be required. The service will be available on Zoom with meeting ID 83081094540 and password 123. Private family burial at Scandinavian Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family in Carolyn’s name.
