Carolyn Irene Bennehoff, 73, Rockford, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017, in SwedishAmerican Hospital. Memorial services will be held at 11 AM, Friday, February 17, 2017, at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural Street. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until10:45 AM on Friday at the church. A full obituary will appear at a later date.Carolyn Irene Bennehoff, 73, Rockford, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017, in SwedishAmerican Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 20, 1943, in Ottawa, the daughter of Clarence and Irene (Nordtvedt) Selvig. Carolyn married Ralph Bennehoff on June 20, 1964, in Ottawa. She worked at Farmer’s Insurance Company and then as a paraprofessional at Children’s Development Center and later at the Carrie Lynn Children’s Center until her retirement. She was a long time member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church and was active in the Sarah Circle.
Survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Ralph; her sons, Scott (Susan) Bennehoff of Rockton and Mark (Jennifer) Bennehoff of Waterloo, WI; her grandchildren, Logan, Cora, and Connor Wessman, Stephanie (Justin) Pittman, Codi Reiter, Zachary and Hannah Bennehoff; her sisters-in-law, Mary Bennehoff of Palatka, FL. and Linda Bennehoff of Fountain Hills, AZ; her aunt and uncle, Doris and Doyle Serby; her aunt, Doris Nordtvedt; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and many friends. Predeceased by her parents; her mother and father-in-law; her brother-in-law, Robert Bennehoff and an infant sister.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 17, 2017, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 3300 Rural St. Rockford with Reverend Tony Dusso officiating. Inurnment in the church columbarium. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. on Friday at the church. Arrangements by Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, Mulford Chapel, Rockford.
