Carol M. Triplett

It is with great sadness that the family of Carol M Triplett, 80, of Rockford, IL announces her sudden passing on Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was born March 22, 1942, in Reedsburg, WI, the daughter of Viola (Volk) and John Hurley. Carol attended Muldoon High School in Rockford, IL, Class of 1960. She worked at Forest City Packers, Payless Shoes and many years as a Certified Nurse's Assistant and never gave up her passion of caring for others. Carol was a fine, genuine person who would do anything for anyone. She was the Matriarch and teacher of the family and much of this is carried on by her children. Carol was a devout Catholic and attended Mass at St. Patrick Catholic Church, St.Edward Catholic Church and St. Mary Oratory. She enjoyed music; especially singing, dancing and playing the guitar. Most of all, Carol loved her family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Carol will be greatly missed by her daughters, Carrie (Brain) Bielefeldt, Cynthia (Ryan Stone) Triplett, Lori Triplett; son, Michael (Laura) Triplett; 8 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Spatafora and Pat Minzer; brother, Chuck Hurley; special friend, David Steele; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, July 28, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Edward Catholic Church, 3004 11th St. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Chapel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue Thursday from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the Church. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corpus Christi Monastery of the Poor Clares Rockford, 2111 S. Main St Rockford, IL 61102.
