Carol Geddes-Murray

Carol Geddes Murray   Carol Geddes Murray, 81, of Rockford, went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2009 in Nelson-Debes Subacute Complex.  Carol was born October 11, 1927 in Owen Township, Winnebago County, Illinois the daughter of Robert and Lyle (Nicholls) Geddes.   Carol graduated from West High School in 1945 and worked in retail sales for Northwest Fabrics in Madison, Wisconsin.  She was a member of First Assembly of God in Rockford and loved her family, reading, writing, books, sewing and gardening..   Carol is survived by her daughters, Becky (Paul) Maginnis, Jill Murray, and Ann (Michael) Paiz; grandchildren, Heather (Ryan) Knorr, Erin (Eric) Sellers, Colleen (Michael) Stender, Joel T. Maginnis, Scott Wood, April Wood (Walter Vargas), Matthew Wood, Mariah Paiz, and William Paiz; great-grandchildren, Nathaniel, Abigail, Avery and Hanna Knorr, Kerina Wood, Joshua Sellers, and DAlessandro Vargas; sisters, Doris Berg, Maxine (James) Cummings, Audra Welden, Kay (Tom) Glenny, and Beth (Ken) Whitford; brothers, Wayne Geddes, and Roger (Alice) Geddes, and many nieces and nephews. Carol was predeceased by her parents.   Funeral services and burial will be private.  Memorials may be made in Carols name to Rockford Rescue Mission, 715 W. state St., Rockford, Il 61102.  Family and friends may
