Carol A. Kloppmann

Carol A. Kloppmann, 65, of Rockford, IL passed away Friday, April 29. 2022. She was born February 16, 1957 in Melrose Park, IL the daughter to Caroline (Insalico) and Anthony D’Anza. Carol attended Proviso West High School, graduating in 1975. She went on to obtain her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. Carol married the love of her life, Stephen Kloppmann on July 5, 1980. She taught and worked as a teacher’s aide in the Rockford Public Schools for many years. Carol was a kind, loving wife and mother. She enjoyed dancing, music, ice cream, and laughing until she snorted. Carol had a passion for Longaberger baskets and sold them for twenty years. Most of all Carol loved her family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Stephen; sons, Jimmy (Mia) Kloppmann and Joel Kloppmann; brothers, Tony D’Anza, Sam (Leatha) D’Anza, Mike (Jeanne) D’Anza, Jimmy (Ellen) D’Anza; mother-in-law, Nory Kloppmann, sister-in-law, Ellen (Thomas) Schnaible; brother-in-law, Paul Kloppmann; numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Caroline. The family would like to thank the staff at Anam Glen for their care and compassion.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, Mulford Capel, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Carol’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
