Carlotta M. Baylor

Carlotta M. Baylor, 82, of Rockton, passed away April 16, 2017 at Highview in the Woodlands. Born December 20, 1934, the daughter of Carl H. & Letha M. (Bland) Johnson. Graduated from Rockford East high school. Married William “Bill” Baylor in Rockford on April 14, 1956. Member of Holy Family Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband especially to Europe, Hawaii, winters in South Padre, Texas, and special trips to New Orleans, San Antonio and their summer home in Castle Rock Lake. Most of all she was a homemaker taking care of her loving family. She was a member of the fire departments auxiliary. Carlotta will be truly missed by all family and friends.
Survivors include husband William; sons Edward, Thomas (Maria) Baylor; Daughters Dawn (Mike) Oswald and Terese (Larry) Peterson; grandchildren Krissa, Karl, Andrew, Nick (Jenny), Nathan, Nolan and Lauren; great grandson Malachi; brother David (Sheri) Johnson; sister-in-law Elizabeth Atkins and numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by parents and in-laws.

Funeral mass will be 12 PM Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Family will receive guests Monday from 5 to 7 PM at Fitzgerald Funeral Home and Crematory, 3910 N. Rockton Ave., Rockford, IL 61103 and from 10:30 to time of mass on Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Burial at Arlington Memorial Park Cemetery.
